Schlechter CharlieSCHLECHTER, Charlie James - (35-year employee of General Motors of Canada) 

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with family by his side on Tuesday September 14th, 2021, in his 94th year. 

Beloved husband of the late Maxine. 

Devoted and caring dad of Val and her spouse Mike, Kevin and his wife Jennifer. 

Loving and treasured Gamper of Ben, Annie and Katie. 

Brother of Frank (late Hilda) and predeceased by Betty (Tony), Leonard (Eva), Joe (Doreen), Margaret, Rynold, Bill (Irene).  Brother-in-law of Effie. 

Charlie will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 21st from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).  As attendance will be limited, please see the link below to secure a time slot to visit.


A Funeral Mass will be held at St Gertrude’s Catholic Church (690 King St. E) on Wednesday September 22nd, at 11:00 am. 

Donations in memory of Charlie can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
