PICKERING, Jean Winnifred - Jean Winnifred Pickering, age 84, of Oshawa, Ontario passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Jean was born March 11, 1938 In London England.
Loving and cherish mother of Deborah, and her son-in-law John.
Cherish grandmother (nana) of Michael and Matthew whom she loved with all her heart.
Predeceased by her sister Gladys Atkins. She will be missed by her stepbrother Steven McCarthy.
Jean loved her Chaplin work at the Oshawa hospital, nursing homes, and she took great pride in officiating funeral services.
She loved knitting and making items for those, she knew. Jean enjoyed her grandsons and cherished the time she spent with them. She had a generous soul, and she cherished spending time with her family.
Jean was a hard worker and she never gave up. She loved her family fiercely and was friendly to a fault.
She will be greatly missed by everyone she knew.
A visitation for Jean will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234).
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Oshawa Church, (570 Thornton Rd North). In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean's memory may be made to Salvation Army Oshawa Church.
