MASTROIANNI, Sante - April 10, 1933 - July 11, 2022
It’s with great sadness that the family of Sante Mastroianni announces his passing on July 11th, 2022 at the age of 89.
Sante was born in Sora, Italy on April 10th, 1933 to the late Cesare and Maria Mastroianni.
Sante became a barber in 1952 and was one in the Italian Army for 18 months.
He married Serria Castaldi on Sept 21st, 1957, and came to Canada to join his wife Nov 17, 1958 by boat.
They lived in Oshawa and had two children: Lori and Paolo. Sante and Serrianna were married for 37 years until her death Oct 6th, 1994.
Sante married Maria Luisa MacDonald Sept 21st, 1996. He then retired in 1998. They have been married just short of 26 years till his passing.
Sante will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Maria Luisa, his son Paolo, and daughter Lori Boyd (Larry). Also, his grandson Ryan Boyd (Christina nee: Lamarr), Great granddaughter Emilia Boyd, sister Pasqualina Cirrelli - nee: Mastroianni (Domenico), brothers Vincenzo and Giovanni Mastroianni, and brother in law Vincenzo Vallentini.
Sante is pre deceased by his brothers Biagio and Domenico Mastroianni, and his sister Clementina Vallentini – nee: Mastroianni, and his first wife Serianna Mastroianni – nee: Castaldi.
Sante was blessed & missed by many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME Oshawa, on Saturday July 16th from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. Funeral Mass to follow at The St. Joseph the Worker Parish (Mary & Beatrice, Oshawa) on Saturday July 16th at 11am. Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.
