ROBERTSON, John McNay Robertson   -  John died peacefully at his home, on July 27, ending his struggles with Parkinson’s.

He is survived by his wife Anne (Moreland), his children Bruce (Julie), Carrie Pilgrim (George) and Ruth Anne Robertson, and his brother Bob (Donna).

Predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Carrie Robertson (Speiran) and his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Neil McNiven.

His spirit lives on in his grandchildren, Alicia, Cara, and Ben Pilgrim and John and Matthew Robertson.

Beyond his nuclear and church families, John had a variety of interests and pursuits – Science teacher at Brock High, Cannington and Guidance Counsellor at I.E. Weldon, Lindsay, trustee for the Durham School Board, farming, gardening, member of the Manilla Fiddlers and Speiran singers, curling, and maintaining lifelong friendships with his buddies from ’64 OAC.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church, Laidlaw St. North Cannington on Sunday, August 7th at 2:30 P.M. following visitation starting at 12:30. A reception will follow the service.

If so desired, memorial donations to Trinity United Church, Cannington or Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
