Martin IvanMARTIN, Ivan Colin  -   Ivan was called home peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour on January 10, 2023 at Fairview Lodge in Whitby.

Although now absent from the body, we know that Ivan is present with the Lord.

Ivan is survived by his wife Peggy of 65 years and their children Scott and Deb, Lynn Dryburgh and Dean and Greg and Jenn.

Also survived by his grandchildren Jeff and Ellesse, Lindsay and Cam, Stacey, Kristen and Ben, Melanie and Adam, Heather, Brad and Emily, Ben and Diana, Laura, Julia and Jacob; and his great-grandchildren Kaj, Anna, Braxton, Bryer, Bishop, Callie, Zac, Violet, Jacob and Lincoln.

Predeceased by his sister Lillian.  Ivan and Peggy were childhood sweethearts, married in 1957 and were seldom seen a part.  His greatest pleasure was to be with Peggy, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  His love for his family was only surpassed by his love for the Lord.

Ivan and Peggy were part of the Muskoka Bible Center community for their entire adult lives, enjoying countless summers at the family cottage.  Ivan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pembroke while raising their family and then at Calvary in Oshawa for the past number of years.

Ivan graduated from the University of Toronto as a mechanical engineer in 1953 and spent most of his career working for Atomic Energy of Canada in Chalk River.

Soon after retirement he and Peggy moved back to their native Oshawa.  He was an avid Ham Radio enthusiast – now VE3GTY is a silent key.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby for the excellent care and welcoming environment they provided for his short time there.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday January 13th, 2023 from 2 – 4 pm or 7 – 9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held Saturday January 14th, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, 300 Rossland Rd. E., Oshawa at 11 am.  Interment  MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY

Donations in memory of Ivan to Calvary Baptist Church or Muskoka Bible Centre would be appreciated.
