Molde Sandra

MOLDE, Sandra Cleo Ann (nee Dalton)  -   Born July 15, 1944, passed away after a brief illness in Bowmanville Hospital on January 24, 2024.

 

Loving mother of Vicki Gilbert, Jon Price (Lorraine), Peter Price, and Sandee-lee Hillier (Derrick).

 

Sandra is predeceased by her loving husband, Marvin Molde as well as Cleo Dalton (father), Thelma Colley (mother), Ernest Colley (stepfather), Shirley Woodcock (sister) Timothy Dalton (brother) Donny Dalton (brother) and Wendy Dalton (sister).

 

Sandra’s eight grandchildren brought such joy to her life (Darla Price, Linda Jane Burke, Rachelle Wittenburg, Clifton Price, Roth Gilbert, Becky Parker, Dendra Hillier, and Robbie Parker.

 

Sandra was actively involved in her seven great grandchildren’s’ lives (Taylor Hughes, Josh Vivian, Ava Lane, Flynn Vivian, Olivia Lane, Joey Burke, and Delilah Parker-Bond). Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Sandra moved to Halifax in 1964 where she raised her children, while working and going to school.

 

Sandra become a successful business woman and moved to Ontario in 1976, where she started a successful partnership company, CRM. She and her husband, Marvin lived in Brooklin, Ontario for many years, where they were active in their community.

 

Sandra was a dedicated volunteer with the Brooklin Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Upon retiring she and Marvin moved to Little Britain, where again she was active in her community and continued to cultivate new friendships wherever she went.

 

Sandra’s retirement years, like all of her years, were about her children and grandchildren, attending soccer games, and graduations, and hosting huge family gatherings for Christmas and all special occasions.

 

Sandra loved to read, attend live theatre, and travel. She most recently enjoyed trips to Ireland and Nova Scotia.

 

Sandra loved animals and advocated for animal welfare. She gave generously to various animal protection services.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by the Humane Society of Kawartha Lake https://hskl.ca Visitation will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, up until the time of service at 1:00 pm at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby, ON.

 

Followed by a graveside service at  GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Whitby and then all guests are invited to the reception at the Brooklin Legion.
