HANOMAN-RAMPRASAD, Judith R. - Passed away suddenly with family by her side at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Sunday, April 7, 2024 just one day after her 81st birthday.

 

She is now reunited with her beloved husband Albert Ramprasad (2020). She is survived by her loving children Michael (Bridget) and Nadia (Duane).

Devoted Grandma to Kaelan, Austin, Aidan, Royce, and Marcus. Sister to Eileen (late Martin Kamps), Ann Hanoman (late Latchman Kissoon), the late Pat Hanoman (Len Singh), Dr. Clare Hanoman, Lalu Hanuman, Grace Hanoman.

Sister-in-law to Joan, Agnes, Allan (Hazel), Arthur (Savi) Ramprasad, Rowena (Daniel Lamy), David (Bernadette) Ramprasad , Salomie (Arnold Cunje) and the late Dr. Harri Ramprasad (survived by Elaine), Milton and Aubrey Ramprasad. 

 

Judy was born in Manchester UK, and was the first born child of the late Dr. Robert Hanoman and his wife Nora (née Devitt), she spent most of her childhood years in between Manchester and Guyana. She later went on to Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she completed her professional studies as a Physiotherapist. On the recommendation from her father she moved to Canada in 1971.

 

She continued her career working in Toronto, Edmonton and finally in the Durham region where she has continued to reside for the last 35 years. She loved to travel and to spend time with family and friends. Judy will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her extended family and friends.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18th at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. & 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Prayers will begin at 6:00p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 19th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby at 10:30a.m.. Burial to follow.
