Cherer JohnCHERER, John   -  July 10, 1931 – October 3, 2022

Life is but a day at most Peacefully, in the sunny corner suite at Bridgepoint Hospital, in his 91st year.

Beloved husband of his "Dear Old Dutch" Elizabeth (Betty) Cherer, who he visited daily during her recent time in hospital until he could do so no more.

Predeceased by parents, Charles E. Cherer and Constance Cherer (nee Collier), and his eldest son, Nicholas, John also leaves his two loving sons, Adam (Liz Scheffer) and Richard (Soussan Tabari), and loving granddaughter Roshan.

Brother, Richard (Dick) Cherer, residing in the UK, remains his sole surviving sibling, having previously lost his two sisters, Yvonne ("Bobs") McGrath and Lindy Hentall.

He is a beloved uncle to many. Those who knew John will remember his charming, friendly, funny, outgoing, mischievous nature – one who loved to laugh at a good joke. Young at heart, he became affectionately known as "Kid" to his sons.

Reciting limericks or Robbie Burns poems was his specialty. His artistic talents were also well-known by all and were ultimately his passion.

Always the one to custom design and craft cards, bookmarks, and other items as gifts for friends and family, these now become mementoes from a man who loved life and was beloved by all.

In keeping with his nature and desire to "keep things simple", a private Celebration of Life will be held at his local haunt on Sunday, November 6th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Anyone wishing to attend can reach out to friends or family for details.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Vibrant Health Care Alliance or the Charity of Your Choice.
