Cherer ElizabethCHERER, Elizabeth (Betty)   -   April 6, 1927 – November 1, 2022

Happy Days On November 1st, Betty passed peacefully, at St. John's Rehabilitation Centre, just shy of a month after the death of her beloved husband and partner of over 67 years, John Cherer.

Betty will be remembered as a friendly, caring, positive person dedicated to volunteerism, family and friends alike.

When physically able, she and John spent many hours volunteering for various organizations, including the Anne Johnston Health Station and York School Intergenerational Choir, where Betty became pen pals with several young students.

Affectionately known as 'Bogues' to John and her children, she was particular about finding just the right gift for someone, and inspired many of the custom-made cards and other gifts that John would craft for family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Frank England and Nora England (nee Robertson); her two sisters, Mary Forster and Ann Caplowe; and her eldest son, Nicholas, Betty leaves her two loving sons, Adam (Liz Scheffer) and Richard (Soussan Tabari); and loving granddaughter, Roshan.

Given the timing of her passing, a combined Celebration of Life was held for both John and Betty on November 6th.

For those wishing to honour her life through giving, a donation may be made to Vibrant Healthcare Alliance, on Betty's behalf.
