LINDSAY, Catherine Maureen (nee DINEEN)    -  May 5, 1928 - November 1, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our Mom and Grandma Mo.

Maureen died peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Kipling Acres, her home of several years.

Beloved wife of the late James Paul Lindsay.

Loving mother to Catherine, David (Marjorie), Steven (Donna), the late Mary Dianne, Gregory (Linda).

Proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Catherine Maureen Lindsay (nee Dineen) was born to Catherine "Kitty" and Daniel Dineen on May 5, 1928, the only daughter in a family with six sons. She met Jim Lindsay at St. Basil's young people's club and the couple were engaged within 6 months.

They married in 1949, when Maureen turned 21 and were happily married for 55 years. Maureen was a proud member of her church and Etobicoke community. At 81 years of age, she was awarded a Volunteer of the Year award at Toronto City Hall.

Maureen will be held dear in the hearts of her friends and family including her brothers, Peter, Mike (Kay), and Tim (Eleanor); siblings-in-law, Margaret, Paul, Hazel and Natalie; and many nieces and nephews. To honour Maureen's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 12 p.m. until Service time in the chapel at 1 p.m.

If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
