Gemmell MargaretGEMMELL, Margaret Gray   -  Sunday, November 27, 2022, Margaret Gray Gemmell passed away peacefully, at the age of 92.

Margaret was born on November 10, 1930, in Dalmuir, Scotland, to John Main Jackson and Janet Jackson.

Margaret came to Canada in 1955, at the age of 22, and on one special night, fell in love at the Palais Royale Dancehall, to late husband (Alexander).

They returned to Scotland and started their family welcoming daughters, Janet (late Harry) and Sandra.

They then made their final move back to Scarborough, ON, in 1966, and continued their life story together, making beautiful memories with family and friends.

Margaret was a dedicated member of her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir, an avid sports fan, and cherished quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A beloved Nanny to Lester (Britt), Alexander (Julia), Michael (Lissa), Karla (Greg); Great-Nanny to Maxwell, Benjamin, Bianca, and Cooper; and sister to Janette (late Ronnie); aunt to Susan (Brian), Elizabeth, and Iain; and great-aunt to Connor and Adam.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to a Charity of Your Choice.

We invite family and friends to celebrate a life so gracefully lived, at Nanny's church, Malvern Presbyterian Church 1301 Neilson Rd., Scarborough, ON M1B 3C2, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
