CANLON, Frank William "Bill" - Passed peacefully, December 6, 2022, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket.
Bill is immediately survived by his two sons, Hugh and Keary; and was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Maxine (2002).
Bill continues to live on in the memories and the work of generations of students, faculty and friends of Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson), where he taught tirelessly and passionately in the Image Arts Program from 1967 until his retirement as Professor Emeritus in 1996.
Not content to rest on those laurels, Bill also became a regular feature at Henry's Camera in Newmarket, cultivating relationships with both staff and an eager camera-buying public, with which he was only too happy to share his image-making acumen.
A memorial service is planned for early May of 2023 coincident with what would have been his 94th birthday.
