LEDGERWOOD, Elmer David Ledgerwood - Age 85, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023.
He was born March 3, 1938, in Hardwood Lake, Ontario, to Albertina and Wilfred Ledgerwood.
He is survived by his children, Derek Ledgerwood (Katina Skopelitis) and Melissa Ledgerwood (Bernard Hurley).
His grandchildren, Kali Ledgerwood (Josh Pavely), Kaitlyn Ledgerwood (Kasper Soldzien), Devin Hurley, Jenna Hurley and Luke Hurley will miss him and his quirky humour.
He is also survived by his sisters, Beverly Popkie (Gilbert) and Corinne Poucher (Craig). He is preceded by his siblings, Esther Liedtke (Rudolph), Hulda Ziebarth (Carl), Elsie Liedtke (Erie) and David Albert.
Elmer was a gentle man who loved to make people laugh with his joyful antics. He is known to his extended family as Uncle Fudd, as he would often be up to something to get a chuckle.
A celebration of life will be held at the St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 126 Moccasin Lake Rd., Schutt, Renfrew County, on Saturday, July 20th at 11 a.m., and refreshments will be served after the ceremony at a private residence near Hardwood Lake.
