HENSHAW, David Henry -
1936 - 2024
Passed peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Beloved husband of Marion for 62 years and devoted father to Kevin (Amelia) and Scott (Andrea).
Special Papa to Sebastian, Ian, Robin and Siena. David received his BBA from Western, his masters from the University of Toronto, and Special Education training from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
David's roles with the Toronto Board of Education included Coordinator of Special Education, Gifted & Summer School Programs. His career culminated in Principalships at John Wanless and Jackman Public Schools. David appreciated mentoring young teachers and took great pride in their development.
For several years after retirement, David and Marion volunteered in education and teacher training in China.
Those experiences complimented extensive travel, including numerous excursions to Africa, South America, and an Antarctic adventure.
David also enjoyed many northern canoe trips and time spent at the Muskoka cottage.
A celebration of David's life will be held in late spring or summer.
