SUPPA, Maria (née DeCaria) - A loving soul with a gentle heart, joyful, wise and a chef par excellence who opened her home to all. She was lively, engaged and good-humoured until the last moments of her life.
Maria, almost 99 years young, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and devoted care-giver, Aida, at Humber River Hospital on Saturday, December 14, 2019.
Dearly beloved wife of the late Antonio "Tony". Beloved mother of Bruno, Salvatore (the late Carla), Orlando and Rose Mary (Michael Rossetti).

ABBAMONTE, Carmine Abbamonte - 86, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Bella, Potenza, Italy, to Vito Antonio and Carmina (Massara) Abbamonte.
Carmine left his homeland in February 1958 and settled in Toronto, Canada.
On June 4, 1960, he married Antonietta Stolfi.
Carmine and Antonietta lived in Toronto for the entire duration of their married life.

WHITTEN, Roy Harold - June 21, 1923 – December 14, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Roy, at Sunnybrook Hospital on Saturday, December 14, 2019.
Born in 1923 in Essex, England, Roy was the oldest of four children of Thomas and Isabelle Whitten.
His early years were spent in England, except for two years, when the family lived in Australia, a time that he remembered with great affection.
In 1942, he enlisted in the Royal Armoured Corps and was subsequently posted to the Officer Cadet Training Unit at Sandhurst College in 1943.

SHORTEN, The Reverend Robert K. (Bob) - June 11, 1927 – December 14, 2019
The Reverend Robert K. Shorten (Bob) passed away peacefully at home in Burlington on December 14, 2019.
Bob was a PK (Preacher's Kid), son of Myrtie Slack and the Reverend Arthur F. Shorten. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity from Queen's University, and a Master of Sacred Theology from Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
His first pastorate at Sept-Îles, Quebec, was an exciting and challenging post because a new railway track to Schefferville was being built.
In addition to weekly worship at the church in Sept Iles, Bob held services at the construction camps every 15 miles "along the line".

One of the first female sports producers, Joan worked at CTV for many years.
She was an avid theatre patron and a member of both the Stratford and Shaw Theatre Festivals.

Loving daughter to the late Don and Elsie and sisters Donna and May.
Loved and greatly missed by daughter Tracy (David and Jaden) her son Kris (Stefania, Evan, Nicolas, Luke and Nadia) and her son Brent (Corbin and Cole). Caring aunt to Dean, Wayne, Deirdre, Jason and Jessica.
Pat's lifetime struggle with Multiple Sclerosis never kept her down and countless hours of volunteer work for the MS Society reflect her giving spirit and quiet determination.
