THURSTON, John Ross - Suddenly passed away in hospital, after a short illness, on August 17, 2018.
Born August 26, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York.
Predeceased by parents and sister Mary, as of March 18, 2018. He is together with his 2 black labs, Oakley and Raleigh.
He leaves his wife June; daughters Carolyn Crisp (Norm) of Ottawa and Barbara Thurston of Toronto; grandchildren Alexander (Nela), Gregory and Kyra and great-grandson, Jacob.
John grew up in St. John, New Brunswick.
Attended North Toronto Collegiate, worked for X-Ray and Radium, SPAR Aerospace, then as credit manager for PPG until retirement in 1997.
He obtained his BA at York University and his commercial pilot's license at Buttonville Airport.
Memorial Service Saturday, October 6th at 2 p.m., Legion No. 66, 6 Spring Garden Ave., North York.
