Clark JohnCLARK, John Edward Morris  - It is with great sadness that the family of John Edward Morris Clark announces his passing on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the age of 79.

John will be dearly missed by Nina, his wife of 51 years and his beloved daughters, Laura and Natalie.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, Edward and Margaret Clark, as well as his dear brother David (Carol Moore-Ede).

John was an uncle to Jill Clark (Ulli Schladt), Julia Clark (Tim Joyce), Michael Clark, Tamara and Marina Adam, Sarah Ewashen and great-uncle to Meghan Johnny.

John was a superb craftsman and world renowned maker of flintlock rifles, and hunted with and enjoyed the long-lasting friendship of other "muzzleloaders."

He also manufactured wooden propellers for model airplanes, vintage aircraft and hot air balloons and also produced quarter-scale kits for the WWII Spitfire and Hurricane, for customers all over the world, operating his workshop and business in the Tottenham, Ontario, area. Model trains, another of his lifelong passions, also became one of his business endeavours later in his career. He loved music – jazz, bluegrass, Roy Orbison and more and often worked to the sound of classical music.

Also close to his heart were the World War II fighter pilots and his association and promotion of the Canadian Fighter Pilots Association earned him the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. He was also editor of the Association's newsletter for some years.

A memorial service and reception will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home, Newmarket on Saturday, September 8th, 2018, at 12 p.m, with the reception to follow at 1 p.m.

We are so grateful to the doctors and very knowledgeable and compassionate nurses at Southlake Hospital CICU and Palliative Care.

If desired, donations in John's honour may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation, Newmarket.
