CAPELAS, Maria Adelaide - It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Adelaide Capelas announce her passing on October 12, 2018 after almost 24 years of suffering a severe brain injury.
Maria was a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother to 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 60 years, Benjamin Capelas and her sister Teresa Pires who relentlessly cared and provided for her every need.
Maria was a loving woman who was dedicated to her family and faithfully lived ever aspect of her life through the teachings of Jesus Christ our Lord. She remained true to her faith right to the end and accepted and believed that her suffering was to serve a higher purpose with Christ.
May this woman whom we lovingly call Adelaide, Mai and Avo dance with the angels and forever rest in the loving arms of God.
Our time with you on this earth is over, but we patiently wait to see you again.
Visitation will be held at on Monday October 15 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday October 16 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m the R.S. Kane funeral home, Toronto. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday October 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, 2950 Midland Ave, Scarborough. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
