Lazaros GeorgeLAZAROS, George - Passed away on November 4, 2018 at the age of 76 at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto.

Loving husband of Athena.

Beloved father of Elias (Caterina), Toula (Robert) and Maria (Lenny).

Cherished and proud Pappou of Georgios, Eliana, Athena, Alkis and Eleftheria.

Survived by brothers Yiannis and Mihailis of Greece.

Predeceased by sister Dina, her husband Petros and sister-in-law Voula.

George was a proud, strong willed and hard working man who wanted the best for his family. Born in Greece he immigrated to Canada in 1970. He worked very hard to provide the best life for his wife and his children. He not only put his three children through post secondary education but he also helped with financing all 3 of their weddings.

He loved working in his garden, hosting Canada Day celebrations, cooking lamb at Easter for the entire extended family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 5-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in St. Demeterios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive Toronto, ON at 10 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
