Corona ClaudetteCORONA, Claudette  -  Left us November 5, 2018 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer's, in her 83rd year, at Sunset Manor, Collingwood.

She shared almost 63 years with her loving husband George who will miss her with all his heart.

She was a loving mother to Janine (Pat Mastrogiacomo) and Carla Furfaro (Joe).

She will remain in the hearts of her grandchildren Melissa Zervos (Peter) and Elise Elemad (Jimmy).  And there was a special spot in her heart for her great grandchildren Perry, Niko, Luca and Lennon.

She is predeceased by her brother Alderice (Thelma).

She will be fondly remembered by all of her many family and friends.

Claudette was born in New Brunswick May 7, 1936 and came to Toronto at the age of twelve.
She met and married George Corona, November 19, 1955 and they embarked on a most rewarding adventure together.  They raised children and enjoyed a life together that included a multitude of friends and varied interests. But the very core of her existence was her love of family. She was the thread that sewed and kept together all of the pieces of life that came her way. Family dinners were legendary and those who were able to share them will carry their memories always.

A daughter, a wife, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed but would not want us to be sad but rather smile when memories come to mind.

A BIG thank you to Sunset Manor in Collingwood. The level of care and compassion that was given to Claudette and her family was extraordinary. Special thanks to Tammy and Lori that allowed the ending of life's journey to be respectful and dignified. That is not to lessen all the staff that made the time spent at the Manor special as life's journey came to an end.

Visitation will be held at Ward funeral home, 'Brampton Chapel', 52 Main Street South, Brampton, ON., on Wednesday, November 7th, from 5pm to 9pm, and on Thurday, November 8th, from 12pm to 1pm. Funeral service to follow at 1pm.
