GUTHRO, Audrey Hazel (nee DAWE) - In her 93rd year, on November 25, 2018, at Kensington Gardens in Toronto.
Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Guthro.
Cherished mother of Lisa and Joel. Loving Grandma of Bryn, Tiana and Maia.
Dearly remembered by her extended family and friends.
We will all miss Audrey's sassy sense of humour; her astute observations made everyone laugh. Audrey's impeccable style and classic beauty swept Jim off his feet when they met at Eaton's Good Deed Radio Club in their hometown of Hamilton. They settled in Toronto where Audrey became a homemaker.
Audrey was loyal to her family, devoted to her community and had a special connection with dogs who were a continuous source of pleasure.
She had a strong belief in helping others and volunteered at schools, hospitals and charitable organizations. Audrey loved art, jazz, big band, swing and especially Frank Sinatra whose song calls out, "Fly me to the moon/Let me play among the stars."
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to everyone at Kensington Gardens for their unwavering compassion and kindness.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
