Aivaliotis SophiaAIVALIOTIS, Sophia  - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sophia Aivaliotis, age 67, on December 30 2018, with her family by her side.

She was the loving wife of Sandy Aivaliotis and they shared over 45 beautiful years of marriage.

Born in Toronto, Ontario Canada, she was the daughter of Louie and Helen Tsapoitis.

Sophia is survived by her mother Helen Tsapoitis; husband Sandy; her three children Chris, Cathy, and Louie; and her precious granddaughters Sophia and Joanna.

Also survived by her brother George Tsapoitis (Angela) and her sister Mary Kokkinos (Gill), and her 6 nieces and nephews.

Sophia is predeceased by her father Louie Tsapoitis.

Sophia will always be remembered for her glowing smile, her courage, her strength, and her perseverance. She was truly a warrior in every sense of the word. Through times of suffering she prevailed. Through the pain she always smiled. Her passion for life was felt by everyone around her. Sophia loved her family and friends with all her heart and was dearly loved by many.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church of Markham, 11359 Warden Ave Markham on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at 10:00am.
