Brewster LeilaBREWSTER, Leila Virginia  - In loving memory September 24, 1965 - January 4, 2019

Passed away suddenly, aged 53, in Toronto and is now at peace.

She is survived by her beloved older siblings Julia, Wynne, John (Kath) and Meredith (Mike), her mother Nora (nee Young), nieces Jasmine and Millie, great niece Ripley and nephews Jude, Keith and Christopher.

Predeceased by her father Jack and her youngest sister Audrey. She will be forever remembered by her devoted former partner Colby, close friends 'The Wild Women in the Woods' Naomi, Gaby, Kay, Nancy and Cindy, along with countless friends, colleagues and clients.

A lover of all animals from an early age, she never left an animal in distress and was known to rescue amongst others pigeons, skunks, racoons and cats whenever the need might exist.

A charitable and giving person she was an active volunteer with the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, served on the advisory council of Nazareth House and donated her time and energies to other organizations including Habitat for Humanity and Second Harvest.

She loved travel, food and especially exotic shoes.

A celebration of Leila's life will be held on Saturday, January 19th from 1-5 p.m. at The Granite Brewery, 245 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, a donation is encouraged in Leila's memory to a charity that supports animal welfare or mental health and addictions.

The Toronto Wildlife Centre and CAMH were two organizations close to her heart.
