Calpin BridgetCALPIN, Bridget  -  Beloved wife, mother, and nana passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Martin, her children Mike (Karen), Anne (Drummond), Caroline (Martin) and Michele (Leon) and grandchildren Katy, Reilly, Martin, Jack, Wade, Lauren, Bridget, Michele and Sierra.

Bridget was born Bridget Shaw in Eddlewood, Scotland on January 27, 1936. Bridget met the love of her life at the age of 16.

They married in 1960 and immigrated to Canada.

They had four children in five years and after raising her family Bridget trained as a Speech Therapist and worked as a Teaching Assistant at St. Bonaventure School.

Bridget was a keen bridge player and golfer, an excellent baker and enjoyed yoga and meditation. She was a gifted creative writer and poet. The most important thing to Bridget was family, to whom she imbued the importance of independent thinking and emphasized personal growth.

Visitation at the Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E., from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure's Church at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Bridget's favourite charity, The Canadian Food for Children at canadianfoodforchildren.net.
