Moran ClaireMORAN, Claire (nee SMART)   - Our Claire passed away peacefully in the early morning, January 29, 2019.

Predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Madeline and Reg and by husband Bob of 43 years, Claire was the loving mother of Paul, John, Catherine and Marjorie (Leven).

Dear sister of Reg, John and Bill, beloved mother-in-law to Matt, Barb and Casey and proud aunt to Reg Jr., David, Claire, Jennifer, Mary Ann, Michael, Minta and Sarah.

To her final days, she held fond memories of her Lake Simcoe youth with her cousins, the Todds – Doreen, Madi, Carol and Bob.

Claire will be remembered by her work at Connaught Labs and the Catholic Children's Aid Society and for her help and achievements in The Unitarian Fellowship in Etobicoke and in the Etobicoke Writers' Group.

Sorry as we are to lose her, her dear and deceased friend and fellow writer, Jack Livesley, can now welcome her to yet another writers' table.

May her deceased friends Pat, Barb, Capi and Joan, companions she remembered to the end, now enfold Claire.

Besides loving her family and friends, she took delight in books, travel and music, especially opera.

The family would like to thank all the professional staff of the Village of Humber Heights Retirement Home and especially to the kindness and patience of Rebecca and Rose, Mary of Integracare, Toronto and the professional care workers of Kemi in Toronto. We couldn't have done it without you. "Qui... amor,... sempre con te! Le mani... al caldo... e... dormire.." (La Boheme)

Friends may call at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas Street West, on Saturday, February 2nd from 4 - 6 p.m. The funeral service will take place Sunday, February 3rd at 12 noon with reception to follow.

Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Toronto.
