SMITH, Norman Albert, Q.C., B.A., J.D., - May 14, 1925 - February 3, 2019
Norm Smith, after a full and wonderful life (93 years young), passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Sheila, his children Sue (Ken) and Kelly (Steve), his grandchildren Norman, Kevin, Beth and Jenna, his great-grandchild Odin.
He was also dearly loved by his predeceased wife Betty.
He is together again with his brothers Jim, Al, Howard and sisters Lil, Elma and Bertha.
Norm graduated from McMaster University majoring in Economics and from Osgoode Hall Law School.
He was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1971.
Norm was a senior partner with Rogers, Smith, Dick, and Thomson for many years, and joined Devry Smith Frank LLP in 2002 when the two firms merged.
A Blessing and a Celebration of Life will be held at Scarboro Golf and Country Club, 321 Scarborough Golf Club Road, on Tuesday, February 19th at 3:00 p.m.
Cremation will have taken place.
