Bardaro GuidoBARDARO, Guido Domenico - (1934 - 2019) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Guido Domenico Bardaro.

After a lengthy battle with dementia, Guido finally decided it was time to join God in heaven. Guido died at the Milton District Hospital on June 30, 2019, in his 86th year, surrounded by his family.

Loving husband of Franca, father of Joseph (Maria) and Rick (Patricia). Cherished grandfather of Julia and Alex. Brother of Angelo, Giulia, Maria, Michelina and Andonietta.

He will be lovingly remembered by his relatives, here and abroad.

Born in Italy, Guido moved to Toronto Canada in 1959. Guido had learned the skills of tailoring in Italy but Canada had many new opportunities to offer. He worked as a skilled laborer at Ralston Purina for many years until his retirement. One of his proudest moments was when he won an award for his ingenuity in developing a system that saved the company hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Guido was a kind and gentile person who loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to share the dance floor with his wife Franca... and won a few dance contests along the way. He had a great voice and loved to sing for people... and even dementia couldn’t change that. He had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh.

Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and volunteer of both the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial hospital and the Milton District Hospital for helping him and becoming part of our family. Guido had a way of touching those who met him.

We are honoured to call this man our husband and father. Good night, God bless you, you will always be in our hearts... until we meet again.

Visitation at Kopriva Taylor funeral home, Oakville on Wednesday, July 3rd from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on July 4th at 10:00 a.m.  Entombment to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens.
