RUSSELL, Stella Agatha - Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Stella Agatha Russell was born on July 20th, 1935 in Trinidad and Tobago.
She was predeceased by her parents; Granville Grant and Gertrude Lynch; her brother Cleophus, and her sisters Thelma (Sinder) and Uleane (Dormin).
Stella is survived by her loving husband Elton Russell, her daughters Christine Bynoe and Claudette Russell Lashley, and her three granddaughters – Lindsay, Alicia, and Shanysse.
She is also survived by - her siblings – Milton, Trevor, Melvin, Ivan, Maria, and Wilma; her nieces and nephews – Selvon, Calvin, Nicole and many others.
Stella emigrated to Canada with her family in 1965, where they resided in Ottawa, Ontario for 53 years. Stella enjoyed travelling, baking, gardening and was a brilliant seamstress. She was able to enjoy an array of activities in her retirement before falling to the ravages of Alzheimer's. Stella will be dearly missed.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Margaret in the Pines, 4130 Lawrence Ave.E., Scarborough on October 5th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at St. Margaret's cemetery.
