Parker MarilynPARKER, Marilyn Marcelle - It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Parker announce her sudden passing on Monday February 10, 2020 at the age of 74.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Junior Ernest Parker. Beloved mother and mother in-law to Greg & Ornella, Brad & Christy. Immensely proud grandma to her 2 girls, Sabrina & Sierra and her 3 boys, Junior, Jonah & Jordan.

Marilyn was a loving mother, wife and friend who immigrated from Trinidad and Tobago in 1967. She married the love of her life on November 11th 1967 at St. Peter’s Church. Marilyn worked as an Executive Secretary at Manulife for over 25 years. She also received her real estate license and practiced in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. In 1996, Marilyn retired from Manulife at age 50.

Her best friend, Junior accompanied her in their retirement in 1997, and together they spent numerous years enjoying life between their homes in Orlando, Florida and Toronto. Her love of gardening did not go unnoticed, earning her numerous gardening awards from the City of Toronto as well as countless compliments from her family and neighbours. She was always at her happiest when surrounded by her family, cooking big meals and spending holidays together. Marilyn was a kind, funny, loving and supportive wife, mother and friend. She was tough but fair, with a warm heart.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her sister Mona Daniel in Calgary, her oldest friend Ken Mollineau, as well as her sister & brother in-laws and friends.

We will forever miss her Grace, Generosity and Friendship. Rest easy ‘Marns’, Mum & Grandma.

Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, Toronto on Friday, 14 Feb 2020 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM and on Saturday, 15 Feb 2020 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM followed by the service.
