BREUER, Hans Joachim - Passed away on April 9th, 2020 at the age of 93 years.
Hans will be lovingly remembered by his wife, son and daughter, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Like so many of their generation, Hans, with his wife and two young children, left a Europe beset by the destruction and chaos of a war. They chose Canada because it promised opportunities to those ready and willing to work. True to Canada’s promise, he and his family soon flourished and so too did his children and grandchildren.
An avid fisherman, Hans and family spent many weekends fishing in Georgian Bay, in particular, and often went to the French River for camping and fishing holidays. The beautiful terrain, with its many steep inlets, provided not only relaxation but also a bumper crop of blueberries, which the entire family picked.
At Hans’ request, the family has decided to have a private service. Arrangements entrusted with Ridley funeral home, Etobicoke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
