Goyer ChrisGOYER, Christopher Ian - It is with profound sadness that the family of Christopher Ian Goyer announces his passing after a tragic accident in Harcourt Park, Sunday, July 12th, 2020 at the age of 30.

Christopher was a legend, making his presence and love for life known to all. Christopher will be remembered by his parents, Andre and Karen Goyer, his sister Michelle Goyer (Stephen Forster).

Christopher will also be forever remembered by his Aunt Francine and Uncles Claude and Mireille; his loving cousins, Martin, Francis, Maxime, Nathan and their children; his ‘sister’ Martina (Patrik Zilak); his ‘Auntie’ Anna, and all of his friends and family. Chris grew up with a solid foundation of friendships that became family to him.

Christopher had a way of lighting up any room he walked into, he was larger than life and was always moving a mile a minute. From the day he stepped on the ice, Chris found a passion for hockey and would never turn down an opportunity to get on the ice with his friends. Chris saw the good in everyone and was so unapologetically himself.

Christopher will be remembered by all for his genuine, loving, energetic personality.

Friends and family may visit at on Sunday, July 19 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd W., Etobicoke. Please note that due to the pandemic, the number of attendees that can be in the funeral home at any one time is restricted, and some guests may have to wait to be admitted. All attendees are encouraged to wear their own masks, however the funeral home will provide one to those without.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Chris Goyer Memorial Fund to give high-priority youth an opportunity the play the sport Chris loved so much.
