WILSON, Betty - (February 25, 1927 - August 13, 2020) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Betty Wilson in her 93rd year, after a brief illness.

Betty is predeceased by her husband Hugh, her sister Dorothy, and brothers Jim, George, John and Herbert.

She will be greatly missed by her children Brian, Becky (Dan) and Gary (Joy), her grandchildren Brent (Catherine) Melissa (Dale), Brenna, Amy ( Landon) and Matthew, and her great-grandchildren Kyla, Shaelynn, Liam and Alyssa.

Betty was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and always cheered them on. She volunteered for 40 years at the Queensway Hospital and received her 40 year pin. She and her sister spent many hours at Bingo and they both won often. She continued playing at West park and shared her lucky winnings with her new friends.

Puzzles were a fun pastime. Knitting and crocheting were her favourite hobbies.

The family would like to thank all the staff at West Park for all the wonderful care during her stay.

The most important part of her life was her family!

A private family gathering will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a future date. Arrangements with Ridley funeral home, Etobicoke.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society in Betty’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
