Dodaro EviginaDODARO, Evigina Maria (Iusi) - Born February 12, 1937, died peacefully in her home on August 21, 2020, with her family by her side.

After a courageous battle with cancer, she peacefully went to heaven to be with her soulmate, Michele Dodaro, and those she missed dearly.

Born in San Benedetto Ullano, Cosenza she came to Canada, in 1956 to begin a life filled with love, hope and possibility.

In 1958, Evigina married the love her life and together they had 5 children, Maria (Joe), Tony (Rossana), Frank (Mary) and Aldo.

She is predeceased by her husband Michele and older brother Joe.

She was so proud of her family and was blessed to gain the love of her grandchildren, Nadia (Tony), Anthony (Samantha), Joseph, Alexia, Michael and Melissa.

She also had the joy of knowing her first great-grandchild, Daniel.

Evigina was the matriarch of the family and the glue that held everything together.

She will sadly be missed by her remaining sisters, Lidia, Aurora, Franca, Alba, Dina and many nieces, nephews and friends, especially her partner-in-crime, Margherita.

Evigina was a friend to all and those who had the great fortune of earning her friendship were blessed to know her. As a woman strong in her Catholic faith, she prided herself on being true to God and active in her church parish.

Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home, Toronto on Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at St. Wilfrid's Roman Catholic Church, 1675 Finch Ave, Toronto on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 at 10:30am.

If the desire should fall upon you, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
