Tredwell MarjorieTREDWELL, Marjorie Elizabeth - It is with great sadness that I announce that Marjorie Elizabeth Tredwell passed away this past Monday morning September 8th, 2020. Marjorie passed away quietly, in her sleep.

Predeceased by her husband Henry and daughter Pat (Dave), she will be missed by son Rick (Mary Anne), granddaughter Courtney (Justin), grandson Phil (Debbie), and great granddaughters Vanessa and Bailey.

At the ripe old age of 97 (and a half), she has managed to outlive everyone else in her family and we will celebrate this amazing accomplishment for years to come. It was her goal and she succeeded.

Throughout her long, amazing life she demonstrated great courage and resolve as she led her family through many challenges and crises. Whether it was moving to Toronto as a 19 year old newlywed (pregnant with her first child) while her husband served in the Air Force, or driving her husband non-stop to the Mayo Clinic to save his life when he developed a brain tumour, or keeping the family together following the untimely death of her daughter, she was never daunted by the tasks.

Living in Toronto, Hamilton, Ancaster, Peacock Point, Cambridge and Brampton gave her the chance to meet and get to know so many family and friends. Her travels included so many happy camping trips with family and in later years, cruises with her hubby.

When he passed away she continued to live on her own well into her 90’s. In her final four years she was fortunate enough to live at Greenway Retirement Village in Brampton where she made so many friends, both residents and staff.

The family would like to thank the staff at Greenway (Brampton) for all their support during those years and finally, the Palliative Care Unit at Brampton Civic Hospital.

Because she had outlived most of her friends and family, she asked that there be no service and we will respect her wishes. Marjorie and the family would appreciate your comments through Andrews funeral home, Brampton, and any donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her memory.
