LIEN, Koe Giok - On October 31, 2020, Koe was called to heaven.
Known by many as Ling Ling Bunarto was born in Surabaya, Indonesia on February 8, 1969. She was the eleventh daughter of thirteen children from her parents, Koe Kiam Chen and Wonggonarti.
She was wed to Alik Bunarto on January 14, 1990 and together they have one daughter, Gracia.
In 1991, Ling Ling immigrated to Canada with her husband and daughter where they helped her brother and sister-in-law run a pizza business in downtown Toronto.
The family became members of the Indonesian Christian Church after Lianggono Bunarto searched for an Indonesian community to help the family acclimate to the new country.
Ling Ling devoted herself to serving in various ministries within the church over the years of her life.
She is a living testament of someone who embodied strength and faith.
She was a faithful wife, a caring daughter, a kind sister, a cherished friend and a loving mother.
Ling Ling will live on in our hearts and be remembered for being selfless and for her encouraging spirit to those around her.
