BUIZA, Julio Jr. - Was born in Daraga, Albay, a small town in the Philippines on May 31, 1939 and passed away on December 2, 2020.
As a young boy and teenager, he dreamed of being a pilot, but his mother and father said it was a dangerous career.
Through the years, his adventurous side to soar higher never faltered.
He travelled to Vietnam to work with Pacific Architects as they helped the American military during the war.
Later, after graduating university, he bought a one-way plane ticket from Philippines to Canada. He had several job offers in the U.S. and Canada, but he chose to settle in Toronto, where his wife and kids joined him months later.
This proud Filipino from the tropical island nation thrived in the frigid cold of his adopted country.
He had a lengthy and successful career as an engineer working for The Ontario Clean Water Agency, a government division reporting to the Ministry of the Environment.
He loved his family, friends, driving fast in his blue Mustang, gambling, parties and especially food.
