Bryan DonaldBRYAN, Donald   -  January 7, 1957 Toronto, Ontario - December 2, 2020 Calgary, Alberta

After a brief battle with cancer, Don passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, with loved ones by his side.

While it is with heavy hearts that we make this announcement, Don would not want us to dwell in sadness, but would prefer that we raise a glass of wine in his memory.

Don grew up in Toronto and Scarborough in the 60s and 70s.

He attended Lawrence Park Collegiate and then Winston Churchill Collegiate, coached hockey, and was lead cello with the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra.

Upon graduating from the University of Waterloo as a professional Geologist, he moved to Calgary, Alberta and put down roots.

However, he is most fondly remembered as an incredibly generous, friendly, reliable, and caring father, partner, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Don is survived by his son, John, loving partner, Annette, mother, Mary (Beth), sister, Ruth, nephew, Sam, niece, Roberta, brothers-in-law Alastair, Adrian and Dave; first wife and friend, Nora, and feathered companion, Mikey.

Don was predeceased by wife Alison Harvey (2012), father, John Bryan (2006), and furry friend, Tucker. Don had many friends and colleagues.

Due to COVID-19, there will be a Celebration of Life in Calgary at a later date.

In addition, there will be a Celebration of Life in Ontario, followed by interment in Innerkip, Ontario.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Salvation Army, 1731 29th Street SW Calgary, AB T3C 1M6, online at www.salvationarmy.ca, or by phone, 403-410-1112
