Santos JenniferSANTOS, Jennifer Dawn (nee O'NEIL)   - On November 18, 2020, Jennifer Dawn Santos (O'Neil), at 48 years of age, peacefully passed away at the Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, Ontario.

Six years ago, Jen was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer which had by then already metastasized.

She was given only two years to live. However, Jen was determined to see her son, Sebastian Santos, graduate from high school.

She was able to fight the cancer and live independently until about a week before she died. She was fortunate to have a great team of medical professionals that helped her achieve her goal.

We cannot thank them enough for their support. As a devoted mother, she achieved her dream and saw Sebastian graduate.

She was so proud of her boy, now a fine young man.

Jen was the definition of strength, courage and determination.

Many found inspiration in her example. Jen loved butterflies and ladybugs; they brought her joy. Jen spent her early years living in Nova Scotia, before moving to Toronto where she was employed in movie production, "Night Heat", and finally as an office administrator before she became disabled.

In addition to her father, Jim O'Neil and his partner, Dawna Kennedy, both of Moncton, New Brunswick, and hers son Sebastian Santos, Toronto, Ontario, Jen will be sadly missed by her numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, grandmother, Theresa (Richard) Melanson, Moncton, NB and many close friends.

Jen was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Melanson-O'Neil in 2013.

In memory of Jen, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements will set at a later date and will be private as per her request.
