Ko CarolKO, Coral Waverly  - It is with much sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Coral Waverly Ko on March 3, 2021 at the age of 92 in the presence of her loving sons Gary and Lindsay at McKenzie Health Centre.

Coral was predeceased by her loving and adoring husband Raymond.

Coral is survived by her sons Lindsay and Gary (Patricia), and grandchildren – Kaitlyn, Alex and Ryan.

Coral had many titles – Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, businesswoman, socialite and president but her favourite role was loving partner to her adoring husband Raymond (deceased).

Our Mom loved to cook and always had a delicious meal prepared for the family and whomever would come to visit on weekends. One Christmas, Coral and Raymond invited a couple who were spending their first Christmas in Canada. The Reichert’s would become lifelong friends of our family.

Later in life, Coral and Raymond would have dinner every evening at the Donalda Club in Don Mills, which became their second home. Coral also loved playing the game of Bridge at the Donalda Club and practiced Yoga at the Fitness Institute.

In the late 1990’s, Coral was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and life changed dramatically for our family. After Raymond’s passing in 2011, Coral moved to Langstaff Community Care Home in Richmond Hill where the staff provided loving care for our Mom. We are so grateful to the wonderful PSW’s and nursing staff on 3a and especially Mer-linda Christine and Queen.

Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease that steals the memory of loved ones but through the grace of God, we believe that Alzheimer’s spared Coral the grief of losing her soulmate Raymond.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will be having a private funeral service in memory of Coral.
