Drews JasonDREWS, Jason Dirk - Age 49, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2021 at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.

He was born May 15, 1971, in Toronto, Canada, to Juergen and Christa Drews.

Jason served as a Police Constable for the Toronto Police Services for 19 years.

He enjoyed and took pride in his work, but most important to him, was spending time with his family.

Jason loved all things outdoors: tobogganing, rollerblading, biking, fishing, camping, and gardening.

His spirit is felt the most when we are doing the things he loved. His favourite activity of all; jumping into the pool with his son, Max. Jason could often be found lounging by the pool listening to country music and enjoying a cigar.

Jason is survived by his wife Jaimie, and son, Max. He will be deeply missed by his mother, and step-father Angelo Lamanna, mother-in-law Mimi, and father-in-law Toan. He leaves behind his sister Mona Varga (Les), nephew Matthew, and niece Sarah; step-uncle Mario Lamanna and his family; and the many friends he has made over the years.

Donations in Jason’s memory are graciously accepted, and can be made to Margaret Bahen Hospice.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We will meet again.

A private family visitation will be held in Markham on Monday, May 17th, 2021 followed by the service.
