MARTIN, Doreen Winifred (nee McCULLOUGH) - September 16, 1927 - June 20, 2021
Doreen passed away peacefully, on June 20, 2021, at Simcoe Manor, Beeton, in her 94th year.
Doreen was predeceased by her husband Maurice (1997) and her sister Pat (2012).
Lovingly remembered by her daughters Joanne and Cathy, sons-in-law Neil Menard and Mike McGoey and grandsons Nigel and Owen.
Also missed by family in N. Ireland, Ireland and England.
Doreen was born in Armagh, N. Ireland but happily settled in Long Branch where she and Maurice raised their daughters.
Everyone was welcome in the Martin's house and many a relative or friend from overseas would stay and be served generous amounts of tea and biscuits.
Doreen loved her garden and after retirement, devoted her time as a "Pink Lady" to the Women's Auxiliary of the Queensway Hospital. Doreen was a kind, generous, positive soul. Joanne and Cathy were so fortunate to have Doreen as a mum.
Special thanks to Ranuka and all the dedicated staff at Simcoe Manor who took such wonderful care of Doreen in her last five months.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will occur at a later date.
