CORMIER, Evelyn Louise (nee Leblanc) - On September 7th, 2021, after a joyous month of celebrating her 90 years with family and friends, Evelyn Louise (nee Leblanc) Cormier passed away peacefully at home.
She was predeceased by her husband Laurence and three of her children; Norman, Andrea and Audra.
She is survived by three of her children; Francine Giroux, Laurene (Claude) and Steven (Arbee), and four grandchildren; James, Elizabeth (Dave), Anthony and Owen.
She was an at home Mom to six of her own children and foster-mom to numerous children on their way to being adopted. Her last foster child was George who became a permanent member of her family.
Evelyn was clever when it came to all things crafty. She sewed many of her children’s clothing, sewed too many Raggedy Ann dolls to count, knit numerous sweaters for many family members. She also knitted for charity; hats for the homeless, Santa faces (hundreds of them and possibly more than 1,000) and since 2017 knitted over 350 knitted knockers. She made and donated many quilts over the years and those she made for her children and grandchildren will be cherished forever.
Arrangements are entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home.
