Adler PhilADLER, Phillip 'Phil' Joseph William - Phil passed away in his sleep on September 23, 2021, at North York General Hospital due to complications from a fall. Phil was 90 years of age.

Phil was predeceased by his parents, father Bill Adler and mother Celica Metz.

Phil is survived by; his wife, Irene Adler (Glenn); children Glenn and Silvia Adler (Trampus), David Adler, Dr. Douglas Adler and Dr. Sandra Scott, Nancy (Adler) and Grant Love; grandchild, Joseph Adler and great grandchildren, Layne Adler Madro and Sophia Adler.

Journalism and in particular, the printed media, was his first love. He started as a copyboy, raising through the ranks to a senior management position at Broadcast News till his retirement.

While in an Edmonton hospital in 1955, Phil met the second love in his life, his nurse Irene Glenn, whom later was to become his wife for 65 years.

Phil was a man of extreme contrasts. He had a seriously dry sense of humor, which if you caught on the joke, he would reward you with one of his rare smiles. His life was rich with stories about political figures and social events, but he preferred to regal in his latest billing disputes with his phone provider.

May you rest in peace. No funeral details available
