ROUTLEDGE, Eleanor "Chippy" Annie - August 30, 1931 – January 13, 2022
Passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the age of 90, after a brief illness, surrounded by love.
Eleanor Annie Routledge (nee Smale) of Toronto, beloved wife of 59 years, of the late Leonard Victor Routledge.
Eleanor is survived by and remembered as a devoted, loving mother to her children Sylvia (Tamm), Sherry (Leitch), Victor and wife, Petra.
Cherished and proud grandmother to Kirsten (Carl), Katie, Amy (Tyler) Jason (Dani), Evan and Leo. Great-grandmother to Nathan, Anna, Alyvia, Emma and a caring sister to Norma Fordham.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to caregivers Patricia, Maria, and Victoria for their love and countless hours of devotion along with York Region Respite Care, St. Elizabeth's Nurses and Dr. Larry Alter.
A private family service took place in Scarborough with a burial service.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date, for friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
