BROWN, Janet Samantha Lee Janet (Sam) - Passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 61.
We have lost a vibrant and compassionate advocate for the marginalized, disenfranchised and homeless.
She was a participant and advisor on community health and wellness studies.
Her creative images, poems and songs expressed her fears and dreams.
She was a respected antique collector and dealer.
Known as "the Lady with the dog", Sam championed animal rescue, environmental protection and endangered species rehabilitation initiatives.
Sam was a daughter (Marianne Laidlaw and Robert Gordon Brown), a sister (Robert Gordon Brown Jr., deceased), a mother, grandmother, and forever partner and wife of John Henry Martin.
A memorial service will be taking place at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral home on Monday, February 7th.
