FASCIANO, Giovanni "John" Fasciano - Passed away peacefully, on March 9, 2022, at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto, at the age of 82.
Born December 29, 1939 in the small town of Montorio nei Frentani in Southern Italy, to Marietta and Giuseppi Fasciano, he was the 3rd child of 4 with two older sisters and a beloved younger sister who passed away from polio in childhood.
He was a rambunctious youth with many stories of getting into trouble in the Old Country.
John left for Canada when he was 15 years old to work with his dad and grandfather on the CN railway.
He went on to attend George Brown College night school to become a HVAC technician working for companies Carrier and Honeywell before starting his own business.
John was a hard worker and proud of his craft and worked well into his 70s.
He loved making food, gardening, old movies and telling stories to his grandkids.
He will be missed but remembered always.
His Visitation is to take place on March 21, 2022, at the Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home located at 2570 Danforth Avenue from 11-12 p.m. with the service to follow at 12.
