ABE, Tiiu - On February 8, 2023, in Toronto, Ontario, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away, at the age of 85, at St. Joseph's Hospital with her family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lisa and Andres; her grandchild, Lauren; and by friends and relatives.
Tiiu was born in Tartu, Estonia, and was a refugee after WWII, fleeing to Sweden and then Canada. She was a loving mother who faced several challenges throughout her life, but was always there for her children with an unshakable persistence.
She loved travelling both long and short distances, theatre, flowers, pets, puzzles, comics and walks in the park.
There will be a memorial service held at St. Marks, 130 Mineola Rd. E., Mississauga, on March 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
