Phoenix MargotPHOENIX, Margot Anne (nee BEASANT)   -

April 11, 1942 - June 3, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Margot Anne Phoenix (Beasant) on June 3, 2023, at Hamilton General Hospital at the young age of 81 years.

Margot was predeceased by her parents Rodney and Jean Beasant, brother Gilmour and sisters Diana, Alice, and Audrey.

Survived by brothers Jim (Ann), John (Carol), and David.

Lovingly remembered by her husband and soulmate of 58 years, Carson; children: Jeffrey (Ilse), Jennifer (Tim), and Julie (Ivan).

She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren Christopher (Sabrina), Michael, Katherine, Alex, and Daniel, as well as numerous friends and extended family. Margot and Carson traveled extensively across the world and enjoyed many adventures together residing in Montreal, Iroquois, Dorval, Oakville, Naperville Ill., and enjoyed their retirement in Freelton, (Antrim Glen).

If you knew Margot (Squeaky, Miggy), you would know how fiercely she loved her family and friends and how special she would make you feel. Margot had the loudest and BEST laugh that was contagious and made people gravitate toward her. She was always surrounded by music, nature, and her furry friends (Silk, Brick, and Mira).

Any time spent with her always became a hilarious adventure which are now great memories that give us solace. The Family would like to extend our gratitude to the entire healthcare team at the Hamilton General Hospital that provided exceptional care for Margot during her time there.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2 p.m. at FREELTON STRABANE UNITED CHURCH, 1565 Brock Road, Strabane.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Freelton Strabane United Church or a charity of your choice.
