Beimler MaxBEIMLER, Max  -  Born February 15, 1937 in Weiden, Bavaria, Germany and passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023 in Toronto.

Beloved partner of Cheryll Corness for fifty years.

Max was a colourful, feisty, and strong-willed man with diverse interests who enjoyed a long and interesting life.

He would focus precisely on his latest interest and very quickly become adept at it.

In his teenage years, Max was a competitive marksman and motorcyclist and his competitive spirit eventually led him to car racing.

He was an engineer, entrepreneur (founder of Beimler Engineering Ltd.), racing car driver, sailor, opera lover, and an entertaining storyteller.

He especially enjoyed reminiscing about his car racing days in the 1960s when he competed in Canada, the US, and Mexico, mostly driving Chinooks, alongside other young German-Canadian racers.

He was an excellent home chef and hosted many memorable dinners and barbeques, often featuring his own homemade sausages or smoked poultry.

He will forever be lovingly remembered by Cheryll, her sisters, Rosanne and Ellen, his brother, Walter (Annamaria) and other relations, and friends in Germany and New Zealand.

He will be missed by dear friends, Susan Conacher, Eric Carlson, Kyra Gunnell, and Urmas Vilmansen.

At Max's request, there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place.
