SYLVESTER, Steven Allan (aka Sly) Sylvester - Of Toronto, Ontario, passed away at 67 years of age on December 18, 2023, after a short battle with a neurodegenerative disease Sly's career commitment to bricks and mortar enabled a life marked by sunset cruises in Muskoka, warm winters in Cabo, and a limitless dedication to his family.
Sly always said that his 'heaven' was when he was surrounded by his family and friends.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Gillian; an exceptionally proud father to his children, Verity (Zach), Maggie and Stuart; and an adored brother to his siblings, David, Gordon, Verity and Donald.
He will forever be remembered for his never-informal fashion sense, expert marksmanship at Big Point Club, and commanding presence at the Euchre table.
He's also likely to be remembered by restaurant staff around the world for his inquiries beyond the menu and into their daily lives.
A celebration of life will be held at The York Club on January 18, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m. (jacket required).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dying with Dignity Canada.
